Have some more on this newest cut.

Its the news animatic now with dialog and temp tracks of music. It has two basic Jazz types the more French "gypsy jazz guitar" and the more American "jazz drums".

Adding the dialog put a 50 sec back in to the film. So I went through one more time to cut real deep and its back to around 4 min. There is a long take that if I end up having time I will do.

And I am hoping the music will start to come together now that there is more to work with.

There are one or two or 3 parts spots in the animatic that don't read well they are jump cuts or how did he or she get over there moment that I just didn't fill in. I was more trying to get a feel for the timing and see where I could be cut down.

I could us as many pointers as you got.

The meetings with Musa and Marcel went very well. Marcel helped me set up a nice work flow for my project. Capturing in Dragon-frame, editing in smaller files in Premier to get the sound and cut just right. Then sending that project to After effects for comping and finaling.

I all so have some lip sync to share.

39 day to go.

Holy crap I have a lot to do.

Made some progress but need to get with composer and export a work in progress for meeting with Musa this weekend.

61 days to picture lock

Hello hello, and welcome back.

-I have sent out the new script.
-I have recast Laure.
-I sent out a call for new ADR times to the cast. I am waiting for one more person to get back to me, then will set up a record time with Sparks next week.
-I am meeting with my composer this week to build the first pass of music.

After doing to a comp test to see how tracking in the CG face was going to work, I have decided to not pursue that. I am going to do as much facial animation in camera as I can. I came up with a killer solution to the face that's going to save me so much time down the road.

On the subject of "down the road," there is not much road left. With Picture Lock two months away, I will have to do 5 seconds of animation a day or make up for it somewhere else.

New Year New Look.

The New Year has started and so many things have changed. I have put some puppets together that really set me on fire, and I am happy to say thing are finally cooking in my home studio.

The mouth and eyebrows are going on in post. Something I have wanted to do the whole time and the new look makes it that much better. To round off the compositing I am going to us as many cg sets as possible. That may sound like a lot but every thing is going to be in Ae at some point anyway.

The new c stands are making my life fun again and they making things move much faster.

The new look is much less human and it makes every step that much more forgiving to animate and I hope that will show.

I am hoping to have everything built and ready to go by the 8th Dec. There may be some painting to do but everything should be built. The new Laure is looking super sorry no pics. And a new animatic is on the way.
